The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also known as Orange Shirt Day, honours Residential School Survivors, those who never returned home, and the families and communities that continue to be impacted by the Residential School system.

Wearing orange recognizes and affirms that #EveryChildMatters, while encouraging meaningful conversations, learning, and most importantly, action.

A collection of classroom resources is available through the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation to support education, reflection, and action in schools and communities.
