Professional Learning Subsidy

To address the professional learning needs of our membership, the attendees at the 2020 Fall General Meeting passed a motion to set aside $2,400 to directly reimburse members a portion of their self-directed professional learning costs over the 2020-21 school year.

If you take an AQ or ABQ course this year, or attend a provincial conference, AOTL will reimburse you up to $100 of the registration fees.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Eligible events include AQ/ABQ courses and provincial conferences that occur between July 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021. Workshop fees for events held by AOTL will not be eligible;
  • Funds for professional learning reimbursement shall be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until the allocated funds have been depleted;
  • Members will apply to Sue Beltrano () and requests may be approved up to $100 if the fund has not been depleted; and,
  • Receipts of payment must be submitted, along with the Professional Learning Subsidy Form. Please note — if taking an AQ or ABQ a certificate of course completion is required along with proof of payment.
