AOTL members follow the same timetable of the absent teacher who is being replaced. This includes supervisory duties and preparation periods.

Should an administrator direct you to teach through your regularly-scheduled prep time, let us know.

With the challenging weather conditions, we want to remind everyone of the Inclement Weather Policy outlined in our collective agreement that applies to both Daily OTs and LTO teachers.

In the event of severe weather conditions resulting in the cancellation of buses:

• Occasional Teachers are expected to make a reasonable effort to report to work.
• If unable to report to work due to weather conditions, notify your immediate supervisor as soon as possible.
• Continue to make reasonable efforts throughout the day to report to your assigned work site or an alternate site.
• There will be no loss of pay or sick leave, provided these requirements are followed.

Your safety is of utmost importance.  If you encounter dangerous conditions, please use your judgment and prioritize your well-being.  Ensure you communicate promptly with your supervisor if you cannot safely travel to work.
